In line with the visionary leadership and digital transformation agenda of His Excellency, Governor Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni, CON, the Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA) continues to make meaningful strides toward building a digitally inclusive society.
Today, we marked a remarkable achievement at the Potiskum Correctional Facility with the successful completion of Module One of our Digital Literacy Programme, alongside the official commencement of Module Two. This initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey toward a digital economy.
The three-month intensive training has equipped participants with foundational digital skills essential for the modern world. As part of the ceremony certificates were presented to the inmates in recognition of their dedication, discipline, and commitment to self improvement.
To further encourage excellence and sustainability, top performing participants were awarded specialized toolkits aimed at supporting the establishment of a Computer Business Centre within the facility. This initiative is designed to promote entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and practical application of acquired skills.
At YITDA, we believe that empowerment through technology has no boundaries. This program is not only transforming lives but also laying the foundation for a more inclusive and digitally empowered Yobe State.
